“You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)“ by Dead or Alive (1985)
A.G.R (Vessel for Joy) is a sculpture that launched a performance, featuring 80s pop hit “You Spin Me Right Round (Like A Record)” by Dead or Alive. The performance involved classmates in a collective exercise to generate joy through free movement as a farewell to the semester. The performance took place in the NYU Barney Building’s Commons Gallery- visible to students and faculty in the lobby and 2nd floor mezzanine.
